AI Skill Notebook: The New Way to create an AI Team

By understanding how AI Skill Notebook works, you can unlock an efficient workflow where multiple projects and multiple AI agents run in parallel.
1/ Workspace
AI Skill Notebook is workspace (folder) based: one workspace equals one project.
You can open multiple AI Skill Notebook app windows via the system menu Window → New Window. Each window can open a different workspace so you can work on several projects at the same time.
1-1/ AGENTS.md, GEMINI.md, CLAUDE.md
Inside a workspace, it’s recommended (optional) to have one of the following files. Each file corresponds to a specific AI tool:

Create the file that matches the AI tool you use in the workspace root directory.
This file is the shared instruction file for the workspace. Any AI running inside this workspace will read it to understand the project context (for example: what the project does, which agents exist, and what the project goals are).
2/ Super Projects Manager
If you use AI Skill Notebook to manage multiple projects, it’s recommended to enable Super Projects Manager.
All you need to do is put all your projects (workspaces) under a single folder (for example, a projects folder). Then go to:
Settings (icon) → App Settings → Super Projects → Projects paths
and add that folder. After that, when you open AI Skill Notebook, it will:
automatically detect all workspaces
let you preview files before entering a workspace
automatically collect and display the Todos list from each workspace
Example folder structure:

To present your workspaces better, you can also adjust the following in:
Top-right Settings (icon) → Workspace settings → General Settings

Workspace priority
3/ Agents
3-1/ Create your own AI agent (SKILL.md)
You can create custom AI agents inside a workspace, and design the agent’s skill yourself. Go to:
App menu → Agents → Custom agent
Each AI agent corresponds to a SKILL.md file located at:
<your workspace>/.codex/skills/<skill name>/SKILL.md
In AI Skill Notebook, you can click an agent to directly edit its SKILL.md.
You can describe the agent’s workflow using any format and any language. However, when you create a Custom Agent, AI Skill Notebook provides a default template.
Note: Unlike
AGENTS.md,SKILL.mdonly applies to the current agent.
3-2/ Use agents created by others (override.md)
In AI Skill Notebook, you can find many free or paid agents created by other authors in:
App menu → Agents → Agent marketplace
You can add them to your workspace via Add to workspace.
You can also attach extra instructions to these agents. In the top menu, select the agent you want to modify, then write your additional notes under:
Additional instructions (override.md)
Reminder: Don’t repeat what the agent already does. The more text you add, the slower the AI runs and the more tokens it consumes.
Reuse tip: You can add the same agent multiple times to the same workspace and have them work in parallel.
For example, if you have a “reader simulator” agent that reads a book like a reader, you can add two readers (e.g., “reader man” and “reader woman”), assign them different personalities, and let them read the same book at the same time.
4/ Productivity shortcuts
4.1 Search
Use cmd + p (macOS) or ctrl + p (Windows/Linux) to quickly search files or content across the entire workspace.
4.2 Copy & paste
Use cmd + c or ctrl + c to copy selected content.
Use cmd + v or ctrl + v to paste.
5/ AI configuration
After opening an AI window, you can type /model and press Enter to choose the model you want to use. It’s a good idea to start with the medium model.
The more capable the model, the higher the accuracy—but it will also consume more quota.
